Trace is a lifestyle, name, food, whateva! Basicallondron all yu gotta no is dat wen yu a trace yu a trace.

and this trukkuh calls haself Tracy. We became obse$$ed wit dis video, and eventulondron started callin eachotha Trace. And then we liked it so we started callin all our nukkahs trace, den they all loved it n started callin eachotha Trace. Den inside jokes n words like IGUANA, expressions like "Das wus tru AND wus right." came along jus naturalondron outta our' weaves.
The lifestyle of Trace can also be confusin, as it contrasts two very oppositalondron lifestyles. The first is tha ghetto lifestyle, as Tracy in tha video is ghetto. The second, is the heroine chic lifestyle. Natrukkuh n Adaminukkuh are models and i$ obsessed wit nukkahs like Lindsay Lohan n Cate Moss who look nukkah a$$ popppin n supa coced out, even though we neva do that shit.
The way we type: as yu may noticed, we use a lotta signs n numbas in our writin. Fo exampla: "L!f3$tyl3". We noticed dat a lotta nukkahs started typin like dis, but it wus us who brought dat shit back, NOTCHU.
Anyways, we wantchall all to be enjoyin tha Trace lifestyle n bein a Trace, so now yu undastand how it came to be, yall can git it tite!

Trace came to be by watching this video, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gtkU2ch0sRI. After watching this video, we found ourselves calling eachother Trace, and our friends Trace. Eventually it caught on, and many people started calling eachother Trace and doing things like typing with symbols, just like Natalie and I. We started making inside jokes, and other words relating to our new lifestyle, and those caught on as well.
The Trace Lifestyle is evocative of whatever Natalie and I are interested in at the time. Generally, it relates to things in African-American culture, or the very contrasting "heroin-chic" model culture. This is simply because these are two things we are interested in.
We hope that by embracing this language, lifestyle, and name, your friendships will be as "p0pp!n" (to use a Trace word), as ours.
